Guest guest
Haven thank you for your kind words. I'm not teaching in the school system now....but I just had a 60 min round of a tantrum with my 4 year old daughter and I'm on hour 8 today of supervising my Son-Rise program.....so very much still teaching. I often think " wow how lucky that I had a mom with problems....and wow how lucky that I taught in challenging schools. " It really has prepped me to step out of the box and get creative and be resourceful in finding answers for my family. Yes I agree we are so lucky to have this forum. While autism is a new epidemic and absolutely scary.... in many ways we are also prepped as women to handle this. We have better communication and as women are better educated to navigate. I often think " our parents could never have walked this walk. " In any case it's here. How many mornings did I wake up thinking Oh my god...this is real. I knew no one would come to help and so I put on my big girl panties and cry, laugh, scream, and learn all I can. We're pioneers! Love to the Mommies this Mother's Day! > > you give great advice.
