Brent, A company with a strategy such as teaming up with a lab to train and certify their own franchisee present a great deal of conflict of interest. The more people they certify, the more profit the company and the labs will gain. Who is watching the quality standard? There are independent accredited certifications, membership organizations, training organizations, and laboratories out there already. There is no need to re-invent all the wheels within one single company and take away all the objective standards of quality in all aspects. Typically, a "report" (not a "seal") is given to clients after an assessment performed by consultants. Giving out "seal" is not a recognized industry practice from quality professionals for the reasons that many have described already. I assuem maybe you didn't read all the replies. We are not opposing the efforts to help the home owners, but the way it is being down this way. There are many way more qualified people in the market already to do the jobs that you described. You need to do more research before you endorse/market one specific company. For example, is a certain certificatoin program accredited by an independent party? I would like to offer a friendly advise to newbies of this discussion board. This is a very professional discussion board, please do some home work before you endorse/promote any new things/company here (because there are many people out there trying to sell you things). Otherwise, you might risk your posts and your reputation to be criticized on or off the board.
