Guest guest
Yeast was often a troublesome contaminant back when I used to do mammalian tissue culture. Once something was contaminated you had to clean everything. It would even survive in the copper water trays in the incubators and on the copper shelving. So if it can survive on copper then Im not sure how effective zinc would be. But, as with all microbes, without liquid and nutrition it would eventually die.
