Guest guest
Deanna, Sam has increased tone in his left arm and leg. Prior to Botox he tended to keep his left arm bent and hand fisted most of the time. He seldom has a fisted hand anymore, but his arm tends to be more bent as the Botox wears off. He continues to have difficluty turn his palm upward. The main difficulties of his leg are internal rotation of his foot and foot drag. These are also lessened by the Botox but tend to return when it wears off. Christie & Sam > Re: Botulinum toxin > > > From: EGTillisch@... > > Christie, > > Thanks for the information. Guest guest
Thanks, Christie, for the info on Sam. Kasey keeps her left arm fairly still and her hand fisted. She is getting better with it through therapy, but since her PMG is primarily on the right side of her brain, it affects her left arm (her left leg appears fine, although she is only 15 months old.) Kasey's in the hospital with a respiratory infection (since starting daycare, she's had two). While she's as happy as a clam, she needs oxygen because her lungs have a lot of junk in them. However, once she is back with her therapy, I'm going to look into the injections. Even if she is too young now, I want to find out what may work in the future. Her ped wasn't familiar with it, which didn't surprise me since he has never had anyone like Kasey! Again, thanks for the info.
