Guest guest
Red Raspberry Leaf Tea- is a great tonic to take throughout pregnancy. I'm about to start taking a combination of Red Rspberry, Nettle Leaves, Oatstraw and Alfalfa. I may add a little Peppermint- depends on how I like the taste. This is a common herbal blend for pregnant women. Extra B-vitamins are often recommended for morning sickness. Keep HIGH PROTEIN snacks on hand. If you are prone to feeling especially bad when you first wake up, try keeping a jar of nut butter and a spoon right by your bed and eat before you wake up. Hardboiled eggs are another great thing to have on hand. Someone on this list recently posted a negative opinion/review of Dr. Batman's water theories- but when I read the book, all I could think about was the heartburn I suffered with my last two pregnancies. IMO: Drinking enough water and getting enough salt makes a huge difference in your digestive processes. If you feel sick *after* eating, make sure to eat plenty of enzyme rich foods with each meal, eat smaller portions, and drink water and take a pinch of sea salt 30 minutes PRIOR to eating. Do not drink anything except raw or cultured milk with meals. Do not drink within 2 hours after eating. If you are thirsty after eating, you don't have enough digestive juices. Make sure to drink before eating and to get at least 8 glasses a day- adjusted upwards if pregnant and especially if tandem nursing... Guest guest
Dear Nita, It is said that morning sickness is a sign of B6 deficiency. B6 is most available in raw animal products. So I would suggest drinking lots of raw milk and eating raw cheese. Sally

She tried the ginger tea, but the mere smell of it made her more sick than she was previously. Anyone have any other thoughts? She's willing to just about try anything! >> LOL. Just to show you how far one can come, here I am, an RN trained in traditional medicine, recommending she try essential oils. they hae really been known to help morning sickness. I am amazed at how many things you can address with essential oils. The frequencies in them resonate with different conditions, and the results can be amazing. I would try a drop of lemon or spearmint in drinking water or herbal tea. If you place a drop of lemon EO on the base of your hand, then rub the heels of your hands together, then inhale. There is also a blend called digestion blend that can be dropped in water or herbal tea. You can find great essential oils at www.pulseparty.com/134153 They are developed by an MD who is the world's expert in essential oils. I am amazed every day at all of the different conditions that can be helped by essential oils, if they are pure and potent.
