Guest guest
I just wanted to report back to the group that our family's experience last week at 's Wonderland in San was very good. There seems to be a real attention to detail and nothing was overlooked. The park is sparkling clean. It is new but I think it will stay that way. There is soothing music playing and it's not blasting so loud that it is distracting like at other parks. There were absolutely no lines, probably due to their requirement for reservations. The cost is minimal (about $22 for a family of five with a disabled attendee). We had great weather the day we were there but there is plenty of coverage for the hotter days to come. The big hits for my son were the train (of course), the water works (a table level of sprockets, fountains, and dams that they can rearrange to make the water flow differently - my son liked making water mazes), and the sensory room with the big screens (interactive tv screens that incorporate your child's movement, like a lily pond on the floor and a butterfly screen). My NT daughter enjoyed it very much, too. Our biggest disappointments were that the Jeep ride was not yet operating and there was no fishing yet. Also, they only sell concession-type foods. We brought a cooler in for my son's food but were expecting to buy the food for other family members so we'll know better next time. I really liked the locator machines they have throughout the park where you can put your special wristband on it and it will show you where the rest of your party is located in the park. We didn't need it but I did see one boy who broke away from his mom and ran back to the water works. It would be good in these "runner" cases especially. -Sandy H.
