Guest guest
What's going on with the child? He may be getting worse because he is not able to eliminate and toxins are building up. I would take it easy, remove supplements and add back supportive ones first and see what he does. I know this can be difficult. If we can find out why he is a non responder it would be helpful. If you can I suggest getting an ionic footbath treatment and see how he responds, do breathing oxygen, lymphatic drainage, color therapy, etc. Can you give him any liver support herbs, ie silymarin? There is a whole food supplement called A-F BetaFood ( tablets can be ground up) that helps to thin the bile from the gallbladder ( also stresses the liver! ), homeopathic liver drainage, raw juices, ie carrot, beet ( peel beet, start with only 1/4 slow!! ), greens - all help the liver. Does he have an oxalate problem? Another huge issue that seems to be ignored are the kidneys. I have reviewed several children's labs - all showing lowered kidney function and protien issues which are not taken seriously medically until the BUN, CREAT, NH3 are all very out of range! The problem with these children and DAN / YASKO protocols - we can't do one size fits all here, no one child is going to react the same. While there have been ideal responders I have seen very few of these myself. What do you plan to do with the Cold Laser? Good Luck!! > > I think we have run our course with DAN. Guest guest
We've been trying to heal the worst, leakiest gut our DAN has ever seen. I've asked repeatedly about milk thistle but our doc said it would upset his stomach, so we didn't use it...and now his lvier is in trouble. I feel like we're on a sinking ship. All those other treatments you mentioned are new to me and I would like some guidance on them. Do you know if Dr. AD does this? I feel so lost. And he is just not growing physically or mentally. -- In BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism , " prshaw56 " wrote: > > What's going on with the child? Guest guest
Has your son tested positive for babesia? A friend just pointed out to me that my son's gut problems went away shortly after I started him on mepron for babesia. Caryn > > > > > > I think we have run our course with DAN. Guest guest
Caryn-- What is mepron? Is it an antibiotic? How did you determine your son had babesia? We were trying to draw out the Lyme per Dr. AD with samento with no reactions at all, then we ran a test (not ordered by AD, it was unrelated) and as a side note it says he's resistant to samento! So now I don't know how to figure out if he has Lyme or not! How long does it usually take to get the Western Blot test back? Not that it will be accurate now.... > > > > > > > > I think we have run our course with DAN. My son continues to > > get > > > > worse and now his liver is in trouble. Guest guest
I first of all want to say THANK YOU to both and to Dr Shaw, I very much appreciate both of your posts!! , your post touched me beyond words!! I so appreciate your posts Dr Shaw!!!! , I felt I need to further elaborate on your initial post. DA is DAN! trained but is not signed up as a DAN! doctor because she does not adhear to a DAN! protocol...she goes beyond a standard DAN! doctor. Early on I did not understand this, I do now. Also early on I felt comfort in knowing she was DAN! trained so I knew I did not have to explain things to her at every turn. On the contrary she understands much more, beyond metals, Lyme, viruses and bacteria.....what I have appreciated so much is she understands all of them and that our children are individuals with toxin loads, each affected and responding differently. With the ART your child will not be put on a " protocol " , his individual stresses will be addressed on an individual basis with the knowledge of a doctor that is highly regarded in high level think-tanks. In regards to cold laser and DE, you do not have to see them both. Having seen much with both doctors, I personally think that seeing either DA or DK for their ASD expertise and DE does put you on a fast track. I do not know one ASD child that could not benefit from Quantum Neurology rehab. I do not recommend moving here, I think that is extreme for your child and the circumstances. I believe at one point you had mentioned you have extended family in the area. If you could stay with them then I think a 2 week vacation here would be appropriate. I'd start by setting up an initial appointment with Dr A and seeing her in person. Then if possible see Dr E for QN....maybe even LED detox if possible. I would end this time of rehab/detox with another appt w/DA just before you go home as things can need to be adjusted with the progress from the laser. Then go to phone consults long distance from home. I know many, even a couple from our WA group that have had to move out of state that do this very successfully. I know Dr AD won't give up on you. I know several non-speaking kids that now speak and kids in wheel-chairs that now walk...one even dances, she doesn't give up if you the parents follow-through and don't give up. Knowledgeable doctors have been Very Important to us, so don't take what I'm about to say wrong. I still find that the kids that do the best overall have parents with strong intuitions, research, stay consistent and connected with high level groups like our WA group or this one. One quick ? for you, have you already done consults with Dr A for the samento? I'm a little confused and thought the original e-mail was regarding a 1st phone consult...it appears you are a current patient then? I was wondering if DA has changed a policy that she had in the past to see a patient in office for the 1st visit unless another dr is working with you taking on the responsibility of your care (like an ART doctor local to you, it's then considered a consult to the doctor). After her 1st visit she then moved to phone consults...just wondering as I have not checked recently to see if this policy changed. Wishing you all the best in this time of decision. Guest guest
Hi .. As you know we see DA, and I believe I have answered question from your via e=mails in the pass. When did you see DA? Since you just started to asking questions about moving here to see her... I don't see how she could of gotten you on just 1 supplement, and not run certain test as you stated in email...a bit confused..(as she would be your best person to get the right provoked lyme test done then a typical doc in your area)..or are you reviewing her presentation where she suggest many different things she uses with different children *FYI she does ART per patient to see what works with them * via the files?. Now, if your thinking about seeing DA...and want to know the length of time you should be here...well.....I don't know your child and their needs...so this could be discussed via a pre phone consultation she does with clients who want to be become a patient......maybe seeing DE while your here as well(she also does a pre phone consultation for Q & A). DA does laser work herself which she is learning a lot from DC - She is trying to get him to spend a whole week with her at her office to teach her more (exciting) I believe she is about 2 months out for new patients right now ( so if your planning right now would be a good time to make an appointment if you haven't been here yet) There are a couple different families on our WA group who are out of state clients an do very well with her via phone work. I do believe they fly in at least 1x a year to see her in person. I was just in her office today, and asked if she did first time consultation without seeing them in person and her answer was NO, its against the law.
