Guest guest
Yes, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds should be soaked 12 hrs. After soaking in a salt water (about 1 T./gal of seeds & water), I dry them using the dehydrator at just under 105F to preserve enzymes. I don't see the point in soaking cashews, however, because they have been cooked in a hot oil in order to remove a toxic outer layer of the nut. There's no way around it so they are all processed this way.. no such thing as a truly raw shelled cashew. Guest guest
> > hi > > is it necessary to soak seeds and nuts in sea salt...or could i get away with using table salt or an acid medium +++Hi Vada. Table salt is poisonous - see this: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php#a29 The instructions for soaking seeds and nuts is to use sea salt, and not an acid medium like you'd use for soaking grains, per Sally Fallon at the Weston A. Price Foundation. Bee
