Guest guest
I use 750 mg Mag oxide (3-250 tabs) at bed for myself. For dd whom I hope will be able to taper off miralax when medically safe-she takes 1/2 tsp NOW mag citrate at bed. I wonder though on the evenness of the effect-sometime diarrhea next day-wonder if it is the mag at bed and the way it reacts to what she had at bed snack or other foods that day? She is on 1 1/4 tsp miralax at b-fast and I had her divided dose down to 1/4 tsp at supper. I hope to be able to totally cut that 1/4 tsp PEG at supper or move it to am. My dd had recurrent rectal fissures and 4 docs later nothing to help-went to a PT that specializes in pediatric dysfunctional elimination. This is the only thing that has helped. The docs deny that PT could be right. home program is intensive. She was very weak in her pelvic floor and the muscle in spasm-can elaborate more. I just discovered this week the disposable stick on clothing heat patches. She wears on outside of undergarment and plays happily and is nice and relaxed for the potty. Just check if you have smaller kids to not irritate. DD is almost 6. Oh, if we had only thought of this a year ago! Pray that dd have safe travel and good visit to PT this week! Also that she can handle a more formed stool without retearing.... Yes, the comment in a previous email that the docs were just consultants and we are the experts-this is true as no doc really understands the experience and heroic virtue of a mother to a child who has very special or complicated needs!!
