Guest guest
I'm skeptical of alternative treatments too, but I did go to an acupuncturist for stomach problems (out of desperation). I mentioned my sound sensitivities, and she said, "Oh that's really common. There's a point under your ears that will help." Of course I knew then that she didn't understand, because I know 4s isn't common. A little noise sensitivity is probably common, but full-blown 4s is certainly not. Anyway, after 3 or 4 sessions, there was no change. Big waste of money for both my stomach and ears.
Guest guest
Eight hundred members here and it "isn't common"? (giggles) = M-F. ----- Original Message ----- >From: Hardenbergh >I'm skeptical of alternative treatments too, but I did go to an acupuncturist for stomach problems (out of desperation). Guest guest
I can't believe I've had this problem since I was a baby and no one ever thought to help me with it. I always assumed I was the only person in the whole world who reacted the way I do to simple everyday sounds that nobody else even hears. It's wrecked my life and every relationship I've ever had. I've had to leave school classes and jobs because of it, am unable to live in apartments because of it and either run a fan 24/7 or use earplugs or both just to survive without going completely nuts. Significant others in my life have always regarded this problem of mine with impatience. I never knew there was anyone out there I could share it with. NOW...is there a cure??? I've often said I'd give anything to be totally deaf, even though that would mean I couldn't play music any more. Small price to pay for sanity.
