Guest guest
Hi Cheryl— Please have your psychologist e-mail me privately Chatmom@... about his because this is a VERY confusing issue for people, and I would like to explain it to him directly. Bottom line: ABA is NOT a billable service under Medicaid (card services).—by anyone, psychologist or otherwise. ABA services are accessed under Medicaid WAIVER services in other states. The state WAIVER money picks up the tab for therapies not covered by Medicaid—that is what is happening. However, I would be very interesting in communicating directly with this psychologist. Thanks, S Insurance Diva Re: CARE CLINICS post Posted by: " Cheryl Fielding " specialworkshops@... cheryl.fielding Thu Jan 8, 2009 8:45 pm (PST) I am new to this group. I have been asked by a psychologist who is serving as an advisor to the State of Texas Medicaid Board to provide information regarding whether Medicaid or Medicare pays for behavioral therapy for children with autism in other states. I have been told this is the case. If so, does anyone have any information regarding this issue that might be of benefit to share with this psychologist so he can use it when he meets with the Texas board?
