Guest guest
Well I am almost a year out from my last part of treatment which was radiation. But I dont know what NED is? I am glad you are doing ok. I was advanced stage III and so far so good. I try not to think of it much and I am very busy so that helps. I actually went through the treatment process very well, thank heavens. I am single and have to work. Now, I really want to do what I can to hedge my bets!:>)) Patty Patty Patty I am also status post breast cancer (1 year past diagnosis, lymph node involvement, mastectomy, chemo & radiotherapy) and I am drinking about a pint a day... And feeling GOOD. Oncologist says I am NED - long may that situation stay the same. Adrienne in Wales RE: Dangers of experimentation with KT-- why the concerns- I sure appreciate al the answers from people here. It is really nice to get the feed back. A while back, I did a few brews and then stopped. Right now, I have 4 or 5 brews going and I am working up to a quart a day. I am status post breast cancer and need all the help I can get. Thanks! Guest guest
Welcome Patty. My daughter Chloe is 22 months and will be getting her second cast put on Tuesday at Chicago Shriners. We too got a brace first. I am still paying the deductible on it! The worst part is that the neurosurgeon (who we were seeing for other reasons--Chloe has a chromosome abnormality with other issues) is on staff at Chicago Shriners as well. I just don't get it! Anyway, I am glad you found this group. I don't know about either of the facilities but since you will be going fairly regularly, if you can get into Erie as quickly as NY, it might make sense to try to go there. you can push for whatever works best for you and your child. I am quickly learning that doctors often don't know what's best. Either way, it sounds like you are on the right track. keep us posted. Celeste (mom to Chloe 22 months, getting Cast #2 on Tuesday at Chicago Shriners) > > Hello everyone! You have all been so welcoming as I joined the group this past week and now I want some opinions. In case you don't know,or need refreshed, my daughter Isabella was diagnosed in Feb. with scoliosis and they tried to brace her first. I'm not exactly sure of her bend right now but the last measurement told to me was 55 degrees. I just spoke with Isabella's doctor on Friday and he said that he sent all her records to Dr. in Rochester, N.Y. I asked about the Erie Shriners since I am much closer but his recommendation is (he knows him personally). I don't know if I should travel double the distance to see or if I should work on my own and go to Erie since they are great as well, at least from what I've been reading on here. It just seems silly to go so much farther, esp. when I would have to pass Erie on my way to Rochester. I just want the best for my daughter & I need to make a move now before she gets any worse. > > All help appreciated, > Patty, mom of Isabella, 21 months old, in useless brace & deciding what to do next >
