Sue Courage I have been following Steve's journey with great interest. My husband was diagnosed with Cirrhoiss of the liver due to Fatty Liver Disease in April. Since then he has lost 36 pounds by changing his eating and walking 2-4 miles a day. In August I started consistently walking 2-4 miles on the Gazelle. Although I have not lost a lot of weight, I feel better each day. I admit that I am somewhat jealous of Steve and his ability to drop everything in order to save his life, but I very happy that he knows that he is the only one who can fix him. I think we should all learn lessons from the courage it takes to do whatever it takes to make our lives better. __________________________________________________

I admit that I am somewhat jealous of Steve and his ability to drop everything in order to save his life, but I very happy that he knows that he is the only one who can fix him. I agree! I think we should all learn lessons from the courage it takes to do whatever it takes to make our lives better. With a sick husband, you need to focus on taking care of yourself as well. You should never feel guilty for taking some time for yourself, you need to do that in order to meet all the demands that are placed on you. Just take the time, or make the time, to keep on walking consistently. Best wishes to you. ~Pat
Guest guest
You are a lovely person. Kindness and grit are the best marks of beauty there are. And you have those in abundance. Best wishes and strong prayers. Jane
Guest guest
Steve's personal and now quite public journey rings true to all our own personal journeys...it doesn't have to be weight loss. There are as many personal hurdles as there are people. Mine at this moment is Bell's Palsy. I got it 22 months ago on the right side of my face...and was left with permanent facial damage and speech problems. Learning to live without a smile has probably been as difficult as living with obesity...because people see only the OUTSIDE of you...and judge you. Saturday, I came down with Bell's on the Other SIDE...my left side. So now I am truly changed...cannot speak or eat on either side of my face. Steve is an inspiration to me because he is not giving up...and I am not going to give up either. Stress is a TREMENDOUS cause of this disease...and I think if I start walking it will help me deal with all the stress in my life. If Steve can do it, so can I. Guest guest
I agree with Jane, your inner beauty shines out and people will see that. Please think of that. Feel confidence knowing that's what people are seeing. My very best wishes and my prayers are with you. It's amazing what stress can do.
