Guest guest
" proud to be an American " nationalism is mystifying to me. wtf is an american. from charles manson all the way to sparrow rose cross (who to my knowledge is quite a different kind of person) is " american " also, why be proud of where you were born. its not an achievment as someone else said. and if you have not experienced the alternatives, how can you possibly equate your birthplace with superiority. its quite a stretch to go from having a good birth place, to being a worthy person. anyway, i dont get it. __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available. I have written to this effect on several occasions as well. Two days ago, I saw a bumper sticker that said " Proud to be an Apache. " I commented that since this person had done nothing to earn being an Apache, but rather was born into it, I fail to see how that is anything of which to be proud. Guest guest
Dillons treatment is just going to do Flagyl for 10 days! I think our gastro doc is strictly main stream. I have not heard any suggestions of natural, etc. We are going to nuero in a week and Im praying he is more open. I just need a doc who is willing to understand about toxins and the gut. I have come accross alot of DAN doctor talk on the net, but have know clue on how to find one, and does medical insurance even cover them? My Dillon needs to have the vaccine toxins removed. They asked if Dillon can blow hard and quick? Apparently this is some kind of test that takes about 3 hours. Something to do with detecting bacteria overgrowth. Dillon is unable to even blow at all. So they are going to treat him for bacteria overgrowth anyways. I thought surely this could be tested through stool. I guess gastro thinks this could be his stomach issues. Still doesnt explain the violent pain episodes he was haveing. They have slowly disapeared. I feel like we well never know what happened, now just trying to fix the consequences of them. Gastro kept saying if this (test)doesnt show anything he was going to do the camera test down through throat, stomach, etc.(cant think of test name at moment) But instead gastro just keeps trying other things. Now after flagyl, if doesnt work, then he well do scope!!! I wish he would have done it in the early stages, probably would have seen what was causing pain and then my Dillon wouldnt have suffered for over 2months!!!!!!!! He got so ill, it was frightening!!!! We thought the worst! He has had the best 3 days in 3 mths. We cant beleive this nightmare might finally be ending!! He is actually smiling again!!!!! The only thing I have been nervous about is a head jerking and hand spasm that came out of know where!! But we are going to stay positive and treasure these 3 days of having our boy back again. Guest guest
The "blow" test is to test for h pylori and other bacteria that are now believed to cause ulcers. That would actually make sense since he had so much pain above the belly button level. I don't believe you can effectively test for stomach via stool because of intestinal flora and so on. The scope is probably the best bet in its place. Has Dillon taken the "camera capsule"? Jennie wrote: Dillons treatment is just going to do Flagyl for 10 days! Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the warm welcome. So we don’t take up the board with off topic issues like reflux & not chewing, feel free to email me off list at yvette.yta@... I would love to talk to you about reflux, not chewing, etc. I am just starting the long process of trying to figure this Miralax situation out too, but have been trying to get answers for the GI, slight SID for years. Alyssa will start OT very soon as well as feeding therapy & speech therapy hopefully as soon as the waiting list opens up a bit. Hope to hear from you soon. Yvette Hi Yvette!! Welcome to the group!! They are great here with plenty of info on how to help with the constipation. Sorry to stray from your main question, but the thing that caught my attention the most about your post was when you mentioned the reflux and the inability to chew. My son is also 6yrs and does not chew/has reflux!! He is on pureed also!! My question is, has anyone been able to tell you why your daughter does not chew? We are still in the dark on this one with our son!! He has a brain birth defect and this seems to be a typical issue with some of the children, is eating/drinking issues. I honestly am nervous to think he would have to be on puree for the rest of his life!! At this point, I have always just continued buying the baby jar food. I have to admit this has just been the easiest way for me and I feel they dont have to many additives in them. Now at almost 7yrs, I am getting self contious/embarresed that I still go through the grocery line with all the baby jar food. We got a mini proccessor and am going to start pureeing his food(have started this already with prunes for his constipation issues). I have to admit we are not the best healthy eaters and dont want all the junk in him. I guess it is time for our family to learn how to eat better:). Anyways, my main question is on the chewing!? Also is she sensory? My son is high sensory and gags befor the food even comes near his mouth. I can say it is improving with age. We also are still working on getting him off the miralax. We was having success with this until he had a reaction to vacs and had gi damage. With your daughter being allergic to milk and eggs, has it been suggested that the allergic reactions have affected her muscle/nerves in her gi tract? After months of research on allergic reactions I discovered that it can cause muscle and nerve damage in the intestinal tract. I believe this is what happened to our son. I mention this due to the allergic issues with your daughter. Some allergies also seem to have the same response as allergic reactions. Our gastro said it is possible this is what happened to our son. Sounds like your little one is quite the miracle!!! Jennie<><

Guest guest
Hi Dianne, It looks like I'll be in London from March 24th through the 28th. Let me know if this works for you. keetch wrote: Hi , thanks I too have just joined a company that sends DVDs in the post, but now we have a postal strike in the UK so I have been thwarted. I have had a problem with people dragging their feet for a long time, it seems to be a fashion for younger folk. I want to shout 'pick you feet up.' Flip flops drive me mad too, it's the repetitiveness of the sound! Let me know when you will be in London and I will see if I can meet you there. I live 200 miles further north, near Manchester, I know we have a different concept of distance here, being a very small country, but I do go to London to work sometimes. Dianne So, it took everything in me to take my husband to see The Lion King last night!!He has been wanting to see this for a long time.(he is originally from Riga, Latvia) and a broadway show is new to him....Well, we left in the middle of it and I was so happy that we did!!Big woman sitting behind me was eating popcorn out of a plastic bag which looks like she brought it with her from home.I turned around and just looked at her and said, are you kidding me??????????????? Do you have to eat now???????????? $80.00 tickets!!YUCK!! In europe people have some class when they go to shows but here, NO!! No such thing! The main goal for last night was for me and my husband to do something together because he is a very busy guy on call to do massages so we had fun not liking the show together!!But let me tell you, I was getting very unhappy knowing that I have to go to this show....it is getting worse for me!!Most people get excited and I was dreading it all day!!So, no more shows for us!!!Give me Cirque du Soleil in Vegas anytime!! That's it!!pia Help yourself to FREE treats served up daily at the Messenger Café. Stop by today! Guest guest
I am starting to become much bolder when there is an offender in the room. I figure if I snear in disgust at that person they think I am nuts but not sure why so why not give them a concrete reason to think I am nuts? So I was taking my mom to her postop appointment and as we are checking in there are two nurses having a competition cracking their gum by sucking in a huge bubble! So I just said to this older woman at the desk that I was a very nervous person and that gum popping gives me an anxiety attack and could they please stop? So this woman leans over behind the desk with a really annoyed voice " who the heck is cracking their gum? Knock it off! " I wanted to kiss her. So now I just think I am going to tell people and see how it goes.
