Guest guest
I just ran across this post. (I¡¦m lying, I just got the nerve to post ƒº I had several boyfriends before finding my husband. But I was never able to have intercourse due to Vaginismus ¡V the muscle controlling the vagina (I guess) clamps down tight saying STOP. I did manage to relax enough in order to have children. And of course, I had the misfortune to have great difficulty getting pregnant. I had to WORK HARD at relaxing in order to have sex. OR get totally pissed, but this didn¡¦t always work either! Now I have no desire. In fact watching couples Kiss and cuddle on TV turns me off! So I have obviously gotten worse. My Psychiatrist has given me the standard plan to regain intimacy but I just don¡¦t have the energy to even try, nor any sexual desire at all. On top of this, I often get shooting pains up into my vagina during the day, I guess when I have been up too much. I believe both of my problems are due to my neurological problems. (I read Vaginismus can be neurological). I have only been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus. But I think there might be more going on, which is why I am on the group. So, that¡¦s my story,
Guest guest
Hi . I commend you for having the courage to post about a difficult topic that many of us women have such difficulty with. It is a complex issue. If you have a squashed pituitary gland, you can have Pituitary Dysfunction which affects all the womanly hormones your body is supposed to secrete along with alot of other hormones. But, if you also have say a Tethered Cord, it will affect all the nerves from your lower back, to your perineal area, to your legs and feet. I have both. Before I was detethered, I would get numb in my perineal area and lack lubrication. I had lost my sex drive. Now, my hormone levels weren't awful, but not good. After the detethering, I got home and all the sudden was an animal. But, since my cranial problems aren't fixed, I continue to have trouble with lubrication, increased yeast infections, lack of sex drive all compounded by extreme fatigue, headaches, and back pain. In short, it can be nerve related, hormone related, or both. Hope this helps,
