Zinc and heartburn

I've seen a lot online about zinc being good for heartburn, but not as a side effect. Hmm...I wonder if it would help to eat something along with the zinc. Just not something high in calcium--calcium interferes with zinc absorption. Zinc is best taken at bedtime, or so I've heard. I've been doing that with no problem.

Hi ,Thanks for your email...I do consume quite a bit of calcium not realizing that it may interfere with the zinc so I'll stop doing that from now on.I've been taking it at bedtime ever since you mentioned it and I've also been taking it separately from the B6 as I believe that they can interfere with absorption. I've noticed a wonderful improvement. Even on days when I don't get much sleep and feel really grumpy and sensitive my reaction is not as bad as it used to be.Love, andraTo: Soundsensitivity Sent: Tuesday, February 3, 2009 4:50:55 AMSubject: Zinc and heartburn

Here's some good info about zinc:

And from the same site, about vitamin b-6:
