Guest guest
OMG! I'm so sorry, that's awful! That is just cruel. I wish we could be more open about what's wrong with us because how dreadful. I would have screamed for sure or cussed or thrown trash at her or something. Unfortunatley, i have developed a bad habit of 'stage whispering' where you talk about someone under the guise of not knowing they can hear you but both of you know you do. Then I trash talk about them (something regarding the offence). I feel bad doing it but dang it, what choices do we have ?! It's not called 'fight or flight' for nothing. We have a right to proctect ourselves. Again, my sympathies, Tammy Crunching and Smacking Co-Workers Oh, man. I just came so close to screaming involuntarily. I was working with a co-worker on a project at her desk, and she started popping tiny little cherry/grape tomatoes into her mouth and crunching down on them suddenly and hard, causing an incredibly audible popping/crunching sound. As if that wasn't enough, she then starts smacking. And I don't mean just a little smacking, where her lips part just a tiny bit and only people like me really notice. I mean full-on, jaw hanging open, lips popping away from each other, full visibility of the tongue and food smacking.So.Horrible.I had to bite my tongue not to say something rude to her or (man, I am almost ashamed to say it) smack her. Boy, wouldn't that just look great for me at work, hitting a pregnant woman for smacking. And even worse, while I was sitting here writing my grievances to get it out and calm down, she came over to my cube to make a joke about something, and...you guessed it, she's eating something. A piece of cheese this time. Not crunchy, but squishy, and smacking galore.*facepalm*__________________________________________________
Guest guest
I normally work from home but last week I spent the entire week out in our Colorado office. The worst thing was getting out there fom California. Having to deal with all the people at the airport and on the plane was a nightmare. On the way out to Colorado I sat next to a deaf guy.. Man did I want to be him. On the way home there were 2 ladies in the seat in front of me. They were talking and talking and talking. They both used major hand gestures. I had to close my eyes and plug in to my Ipod just to stay sane. I've never seen two people move there hands and arms so much. I wanted to slap both of them... Guest guest
Oh, ! Can I relate to that or what? Plane rides are a nightmare, esp. with excessive gesturing! I've been known to repeatedly kick the back of seats (which usually has no effect whatsoever on the offending party). It's so difficult to explain how this feels to those who don't have it. Guest guest
You have self control... I would have smacked her. LOL. I had a guy in the greenhouses with me today (normally I'm alone) and he decided to sing all day. That was tolerable but the he decided to pretend he was a trumpet. I about went psycho on him. Luckily the fans in the greenhouse are so loud that I was able to cuss and call him names without him hearing me. It helped get my frustration out without literally puting my hands around his neck. Guest guest
AMEN! Especially if it's barely audible, partially under their breath. Drives me nuts. > > > > Oh, man. Sucking his fingers? What a gross pig! Perhaps you should leave a box of handiwipes by his desk, and maybe even a list of do's and don't's re: table manners, after he's gone tonight. Then maybe he'll get the message. Jeez, you gotta wonder if anyone has any self-awareness at all or respect for others. Eating so close to others in a quiet office setting means you should exercise even MORE table manners, not less! I feel your pain! > > >> > > Oh, man. I just came so close to screaming involuntarily.
