Hi Doug, I applaud you for sharing some of your lifes sadness. You

are in the the right place here. I'm sure there are several of us

who do understand and do feel the same struggle as you. You've gone

through more than your share of losses in your young life. You

became stronger on the outside and probably numb in front of people,

while on the inside your melting like candle wax.

You will find what is going to work for you. You will drain that

sadness and turn it into strength within yourself. You are still

young, there's time. You sound like a great guy and you have a lot

of great relationships all around you. Live for today and your

future. Sometimes the hardest thing in life is letting go, letting

the past go. Once you do, you will see so much brightness.

I too have faced death several times before I was 30. I hold the

title of widowed, and a few others. I also drained out the

depression and turned it into strength.

I say Doug, make yesterday your last pity party day and let's move

forward!! Take that first step, that's all it takes. ***

I hope I am not making a stir on my first posts. My battle is not

all that easy. I am still working on finding the thing that works

and hopefully that time will come soon. Like Steve I have been on a

journey to find myself and transform myself in the last few months.

I have finally began to deal with the things that are keeping me

fat. I have discovered after much denial that I have a problem with

depression. I have a lot of people who are close to me since I

graduated from high school 10 or so years ago. In that time I have

lost three grandparents and my parents. I lost both of my parents

within six months of each other and then I fell asleep at the wheel a

few months later and rolled my new truck. I got into a pity party

and I got worse off. I have always been big and no matter how hard I

try I just can not get below 340lbs. I applaud Steve. He did

something most of us would not do. Most of us would just sit around

and throw a pity party. I have been very inspired to try hard

because of Steve.
