The Wyndham Garden Hotel and Thoughtful House Center for Children invite you to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first hotel in Austin with specific accomodations for children with special needs and their families.

This event will include...

Appetizers from the new Gluten-free Casein-free menuA chance to experience the amenities that the new rooms offer, including:

Location of rooms chosen to reduce elevator and guest noise

Secure rooms with secondary locks, door alarms and no balconies Appropriate child proofing devices (drawer locks, outlet protectors, corner cushions, etc.) Cleared counter spaces with appliances secured Safe cleaning products and non-toxic carpet cleaning GFCF menu available through room service and in the restaurant In-room refrigerator for medications and special foods A bin of appropriate toys and books available upon check-in Complimentary glass water bottles from Mountain Valley Spring Water An understanding hotel staff trained by the Thoughtful House "Autism Aware" Program Child friendly environment and swimming pool

An opportunity to thank the vendors and donors that have contributed to this effort. Through their support, five hotel rooms have been converted into environments that are safe and comfortable for families with children with developmental disorders.
