Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just a reminder, each of you is responsible for managing your own subscription to this listserv, which includes updating your profile w/Yahoo groups should your e-mail address change. As I've stated repeatedly, if you have not registered w/Yahoo Groups it is possible that you will not be able to send your own messages. The same holds true if your e-mail address changes, even if only slightly-Yahoo Groups will not recognize the address & reject the message. If you have not registered or your e-mail address has changed, you will need to follow these steps to update your subscription. I know this message is very long & detailed, but it's written for people like me who aren't very computer savy, so my apologies to those of you who are & don't need this much information. 1. Go to http://www.groups.Yahoo.com 2. On the left side of the screen you will see 2 options, New Users & Registered Users. If you are new, click the link below to start the registration process. You will then be able to register your e-mail address (you might want to send your self a "test" message to ensure that your e-mail address IS what you think it is!) & disregard the rest of this message. If you are already registered, click "Sign in!" & follow the instructions listed below. 3. Enter your Yahoo Groups user name & password in the boxes on the right side of the next screen & click on the "sign in" button. 4. On the left side of the next screen, you should now see "Welcome...". Look for "Account Info" on the right side of the screen & click on it. 5. You may be asked to re-enter your password at this point. If so, click "Continue" after you've entered it. 6. Now you should see "Review My Account Information" at the top of the screen. Approximately half-way down the screen, you will see "Yahoo Mail Address" & 4 "Alternate E-Mail Address" options, which may or may not be filled in depending on how you registered originally. To add or change any of the e-mails listed in "Alternate E-Mail Address", click "Edit your marketing preferences". 7. On the next screen, you will first have the option of turning on or off marketing preferences by clicking on the "Yes" or "No" radio buttons on the right side of the screen. After you've scrolled down thru all of those, you will see a yellow banner which asks, "How may we contact you?" Directly under that, in the center of the screen next to the drop down box which shows your e-mail address, you will see a link to "Update my e-mail addresses", which you will need to click on. You will also likely be asked to enter your password again. After you've done that, click "Continue". 8. You will now be at the "Edit Member Information for: " screen. Scroll down to "Email Information". Please note-you DO NOT have to sign up for a Yahoo e-mail account if you don't want one. You will see 4 Alternate E-Mail options-click the button to the left of the address you want to change or delete. Highlight the e-mail address entered currently, delete it, & then enter the new address. Scroll down to the bottom & click "Finished". 9. You will then be taken back to the "Marketing Preferences" page-scroll down to the bottom & click "Save Changes". 10. You should then see a "Confirmation" screen tell you your changes have been saved & may take 5 days to take effect (this is primarily having to do w/the ads, however). J. Guest guest
Hi everyone, Since I've been contacted by several people in the past couple of days re: their inability to post messages, I thought this might be a good time to re-send this as a reminder.
