Central Daylight TimeSubj: [sCHOOL-BASED_MEDICAID_PROGRAMS] Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) and/or School Health and Related Services (SHARS) Programs: Required Annual Training for Independent School Districts April 9, 2010 Distributed To ISDs via Fairbanks E-mail ANNOUNCEMENT Required Annual Training for Independent Schools Districts Schedule for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2011 In accordance with the Texas Timestudy Implementation Guide for Direct Services and Medicaid Administrative Claiming, annual training is mandatory for all independent school districts (ISDs) that wish to participate in the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) and/or School Health and Related Services (SHARS) programs. Training sessions are conducted by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). It is crucial that ISDs understand that compliance with all annual training requirements is mandatory. Failure to comply with annual training requirements will impact the ISD’s ability to draw funding for MAC and/or SHARS services provided. In addition, ISD’s will not be given full access to the online systems until the annual training requirements are met. The below link will take you to the ISD training information web-page on which you will find details about important changes as well as contact lists and training registration information. http://www.hhsc.state.tx.us/medicaid/programs/rad/AcuteCare/TS/IsdTrngAlert.html Upcoming Training Sessions: FFY 2011 05/04/10 – Tues. – Webinar – Initial 05/13/10 – Thur. – Webinar – Refresher 08/10/10 – Tues. – Webinar – Initial 08/12/10 – Thur. – Webinar – Refresher 08/31/10 – Tues. – Webinar – Initial 09/02/10 – Thur. – Webinar – Refresher 11/04/10 – Thur. – Webinar – Initial 11/16/10 – Tues. – Webinar – Refresher 02/10/11 – Thur. – Webinar – Initial 02/24/11 – Thur. – Webinar – Refresher "Initial versus Refresher" - Training requirements can be met by one of two methods. Each session will also include an overview of the SHARS cost reporting process. Successful completion of the training requires attendance of the entire training session.
