What do people do about the ER?

I assume that a lot of people on this list have some degree of ambivalence

about the medical profession. I got into a bike accident and I wasn't sure

if I would need to go to the emergency room. I'm still not sure, my ACL

might be torn, but I won't know until I talk to my chiropractor or some

people I know tomorrow who have torn their ACLs.

I was thinking about how I felt about doctors and how ambivalent I realized

that this was a strong impediment for me going to the ER. But what else do

you do if you have to get stiches? How do you handle all the drugs that

people try to give you? (I really would prefer to have pain that get

something like high doses of Tylenol with codiene)
