Guest guest
I can see where you're coming from but i have used DMSO regularly at 50 percent concentration in my ears and have had no problem whatsover. If you were overly sensitive to DMSO, then it could cause the skin/mucosa to dry out and slough off but I really don't feel that it causes anything like a burn with damaged tissue and resultant scar tissue. Burning is an oxidation of the tissues whereas DMSO is an antioxidant. rm --- Paltal wrote: > > Hello again. Guest guest
hi i once had noise in my right ear. saw a doctor he looked ,saw and did nothing. i searched myself and read that insect in ears can be kiilled wiith chloroform. then i tought what if the noise is insect. i have no chloroform but i have ether actually starting fluid for motors that dont want to start at -40F. i put ether on Q Tip put that in my ear for 20 sec and never heard that irritating noise again. sorry for broken english. hope that helps somebody DMSO and ears problem. Maybe the DMSO burned and/or scarred internal tissue? Hello again. My problem still remains the same after almost 3 months.I've been treating the "fungus possibility" with oral Pau D'Arco,Propolis, Aloe Vera and an "anti-candida diet". I don't show any signof progress. I've ordered (from US) an anti-fungus product calledFungal Defense from Garden of Life (looks like a serius company) whichhas Oregano Oil, Olive Leaf extract, specific probiotics and otheranti-mycotic stuff, should be arriving home very soon. However, I am a bit worried because I talked to an ENT that told methat DMSO at high doses and high concentrations (remember that I usedhalf teaspoon of about 50% DMSO 50% distilled water for each ear)could result in BURNING of internal tissue (not only of skin), perhapsresulting in permanent damage. Moreover, I've sent an email explaining my situation to a NaturopathicDoctor called Dr. Wong, whose website is www.totalityofbeing.com. I'llquote the beginning of the email he sent me back:"I don't know a thing about dmso treatment for tinitis but I must tellyou that I am not a fan of dmso BECAUSE OF ITS TENDENCY TO BURNTISSUE. As for the blockage you feel after dmso use, that is likelyform the oil getting into the middle ear and Eustachian tubes. Againdue to the tendency to burn that may not be a good thing as IT COULDPRODUCE SCARING THAT COULD CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE without alleviatingyour tinitis!" [emphasis is mine]I am very frightened. Could it be that I am failing to recover becauseI have burnt some tissues? Could it be that my DMSO application scaredtissue? And most importantly could any of these possibilities resultedin PERMANENT DAMAGE so that I should learn to live with this pain forthe rest of my life??I don't know what to do... Guest guest
Hi newbie here....I too experience burning of DMSO topically on my skin on my neck area. Nothing serious at this point but I would look into it a little further to be safe....debbier m wrote: I can see where you're coming from but i have usedDMSO regularly at 50 percent concentration in my earsand have had no problem whatsover.
