kirsta benedryl

Not sure who started the benadryl post but I have info

I am a pharmacist and the reason we do not recommend diphenhydramine to

children under Six is it has a paroxysmal affect on some children to excite

them.......if a child has an underlying issue of seizures....this can

precipitate them per text book

The issue with all of the cold meds under 2 is that people we not using them

correctly and children's died....so a recall was done to relabel all under 2 to

see MD to protect the child.

small amts of benadryl are usually fine double check with the md and after that

see how the child reacts before you assume it will make them

sleep......claritin and zyrtec are available now try them but the don't cause

the drowsiness that benandryl does in pts over 6

We gave Adan benadryl at and before 2 years old for itching from the cast

let me know if I can help with other questions

to do everything in my power to help my baby girl's spine develop straight. We

are considering buying a baby carrier and I was surprised to learn that they

are somewhat controversial regarding proper positioning. I seem to have found

one that claims to be ergonomically correct. Does anyone have any experience

with this carrier? Or any thoughts opinions to share? Here's the company's

description. ..

position for the baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. It disperses most of the

baby's weight between the hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression

of the spine when hanging by the crotch which most other designs require. The

ERGO also balances the baby's weight to parents' hips and shoulders, and

alleviates physical stress for the parent.
