Guest guest
Nat whatever 'intensive therapy' you are doing ie aba, dir, rdi. sonrise etc. You will need to get it put on your child's SEN statement....which usually means 1 year on average going through tribunal. But some LEA's will give in and give the therapy. I spent £££'s training the LSA in ABA but she never did it....now I have home tutors that go into m/s... the consistency is fantastic. I feel so much better someone with right attitude/motivation is now helping my son. tat You need to apply for statement...if you have one the annual review....when they rewrite the statement you have so many weeks to appear when it is finalised....so this is the right time of year for you!But mention it in Annual Review....if you know what therapy you want...otherwise use this time to look at what would meet your child's educational needs first. It depends on what level your child is at to what therapy is used I guess.... sonrise for starters,ABA is the foundation of learning, RDI or DIR I would consider to move onto for more social skills as my boy gets older. Still depends though on level your child is at. LEAs are more likely to fund ABA or DIR as classed 'educational'. , I didnt realise either adrenal gland effect how 'social' to much for him....I will try a bath after school...good idea! He is on very high Vit C like you said! > >> > > >> > I have been home educating for a year now.
