Guest guest
Hi everyone I don't know if anyone is interested. Vilma To all Parents, Friends and Supporters There has been increasing interest in Sensory Integration and how this affects those who suffer from it at school, which manifests itself in anxiety and behavioural issues. I attach details of a Workshop we are holding on Saturday 8 November 2008 in Twickenham. It is ideal for parents who have children who do, or may, suffer from sensory integration. But it is equally relevant to Special Needs Coordinators (SENCoS), since they are the ones who need the advice in order to be able to spot the signs and take the necessary action. Sensory issues are rarely assessed by local authorities and yet these issues often explain the poor attention and the highly active or passive child, often associated with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Please, therefore, pass a copy of the invitation to your School SENCo so that they have this unique opportunity to learn more about sensory integration, its effects, and the strategies needed to deal effectively with the difficulties it brings. I do hope you will be able to come along. Best wishes Dean
