Yellow substance discovered on colon during scope

Well, my daughter finally had her upper and lower scope. We did not

use miralax, but used A LOT of magnesium citrate, several enemas and a

dulcolax suppository. All indications were that she was cleaned out

(clear discharge only). When they did the scope, they discovered that

she still had quite a bit of mushy stool and that her colon was

covered in a yellow, tacky substance that had the appearance of rice

granules (sorry- just to give you a visual, not that it was). The

doctor said that it was very odd looking and that he had no idea what

it was. Has anyone ever encountered this? We have several weeks

before we get any biopsies back and I was just hoping to get some

insight so I may be able to ask better questions. Thank you for your

help!
