Guest guest
Question? assuming that headache means the something is tired How do you rest when you are to tired to rest. Balanse Resting-aktivutiy is inportant in Traditional Chines Medicin(TCM). My own experinese is good with balansing resting-activity for headache Antroposophoic medicin say the same. I did not know of TCM or antroposophic before I recognized the importans of balans. I learned by trying and listen to other people sharing information and no one told me about resting. Spinal fluid: The was a report in Läkartidningen(Swedish medical socity paper) from a highly respectable person how he diagnosed and treated neuro borrelia. He is also a meber of Nobel prize committe. Blod serum was normal and now now what to do. He asked a friend and proffessor(also researcher) in Norway to do a LP and with the result of raised protien they started treatment. There is also the deskriptions of herzheimer reaktion and a how the symptoms resolved. The article doesn't say anything about borrelia testing in spinal fluid, the protien finding was enough to initiate treatment. My spinal tap has most of it's value out of range and the neurologist stated that she didn't know what to do as she could not identify any sickmess. This was 6 month before I totally collapsed(nov2003), I just started to ask question due to that an infection specialst wanted to see the actual Lab report. Any good reading litt, research or webpages on spinal fluid and what to look for. And how to interpret the results As i understand it there is a time window when doing Spinal fluid test. Any ideas on what to test for and how to interpret the result ? Specific for borrelia symptoms /Per pjeanneus wrote: >Also, I plan to call IgeneX tomorrow and see if they will run a >borrelia test on the spinal fluid. Guest guest
When docs say "you should be much sicker" etc., which is a common fall back line for denying treatment, ask them to just bear with you and give you a "trial" run with a drug. See what happens. Hopefully, they know you well enough to give you the benefit of the doubt, and to have some clue about your own body. I can tell you that I feel a big difference when I'm on the right abx or the right antifungal. If you have a positive result, you can go to him saying, 'see, this has helped', then how can he deny continuing treatment? When are these docs going to wake up? What we have is not "overt". It hides, that's why it's hard to treat. And yet we're sick and it's their responsibility to try to help us. If their way isn't working, they should have the decency to listen to us. penny pjeanneus <pj7@...> wrote: Penny and all,I called the neurologist today asking if he would prescribe me 5 days of diflucan to see if it would knock out something causing my vertigo, nerve damage and pressure headache, also the jaw and ear pain. This is about seven months of misery now with no diagnosis. He said he felt I would be MUCH sicker if it was candida and said he would only do a spinal tap and run tests for various infections.Should I ask for anything specific or assume he knows what to test for? Also, I plan to call IgeneX tomorrow and see if they will run a borrelia test on the spinal fluid. I see no point in using a routine lab considering that I have never tested positive in a western blot at Quest or Lab Corp and I have been tested several times in the past 15 years. I am positive at IgeneX.Any other suggestions or thoughts? I can use all the help I can get.a Carnes with one big headache
Guest guest
I think I got things worked out to send the spinal fluid to IgeneX. The spinal tap will be done Tuesday. I am not looking forward to this. They will, of course, be checking pressure and for several infections. This all started six months ago following a fiber optic exam of my healthy vocal cords. When the ENT removed the tube I felt a sharp stab of pain. Did I get cut? Was the tube contaminated? Was it just a coincidence? Hopefully I will get some answers from the spinal tap. Any suggestions? a Carnes > > Question? assuming that headache means the something is tired > How do you rest when you are to tired to rest. > > Balanse Resting-aktivutiy is inportant in Traditional Chines Medicin (TCM). > My own experinese is good with balansing resting-activity for headache > Antroposophoic medicin say the same. > I did not know of TCM or antroposophic before I recognized the importans > of balans. Guest guest
Hello all, Okay, are you ready for my latest update? I bought some Sudafed PE and took 2 pills at bedtime. I got a full night's sleep with no headache for the first time in weeks or months. Next night same thing. Third night I woke up with no jaw or ear or head pain and no vertigo. As the day progressed I got a lot done. By 3 pm the ache has started to return but not as bad. Now I have to decide if I want to go through with the lumbar puncture. I have the weekend to see how I do as the puncture is not until Tuesday. Any suggestions? a Carnes > > Penny and all, > I called the neurologist today asking if he would prescribe me 5 days > of diflucan to see if it would knock out something causing my vertigo, > nerve damage and pressure headache, also the jaw and ear pain. Guest guest
Sudafed PE helped my last sinus infection & accompanying pain a lot. Along with constant nasal rinsing, etc. But it doesn't get rid of the infection. Just calms it back down to not being noticeable. pennypjeanneus <pj7@...> wrote: Hello all,Okay, are you ready for my latest update? I bought some Sudafed PE and took 2 pills at bedtime. Guest guest
Oops, I made a mistake. I have been taking a generic brand of Benadryl. It has helped me sleep but yesterday my headache became severe and I went to the emergency room. No fever, no blood results indicating infection and a normal CT scan later they gave me a prescription for Percoset and told be to be sure to get the lumbar puncture on Tuesday. They mentioned something " pseudo...? " something to do with inflammation in arteries???? I described how the flu-like symptoms began the day the ENT looked at my vocal cords, sprayed my throat with anesthetic - do I react with nerve inflammation to anesthetics? But then I described the sudden stab of pain as he pulled the tube out of my nose and the development of a severe case of thrush. No one knows. I feel like I should be on " House. " Go figure. a > > Sudafed PE helped my last sinus infection & accompanying pain a lot. Along with constant nasal rinsing, etc. But it doesn't get rid of the infection.
