### Hi group, I am new here. What I am dying to know is "where do I buy medical grade DMSO"? I live in Canada and have looked it up on search engines. Apparently, it's a prescription drug. Do I need to get my doctor to prescribe it? I already have some 1000 mg MSM caps, and some MSM lotion. Is there a way to use the MSM caps instead of DMSO if I can't get DMSO? Joe Huard ###

Hello Joe, I recommend you get a doctors prescription as it is difficult to purchase in smaller quantities without one. You can claim it on your insurance that way. From my research the only difference between DMSO USP and DMSO 99.9% is that the USP is inspected. Here in the USA we can purchase the 99.9% in health food stores and feed stores, it is also available through veterinarians. I used USP grade for a long time but it's very expensive. A 1/2 liter bottle ran approximately $150. I am finding that the 99.9% in amber glass bottles works just as well. By the way I still have to dilute it, or it will blister my skin, I use aloe or another formula I use for a back spray. I also take it internally and as we have discussed on this list before to prevent any smells you can take chlorophyll gel caps or any form of chlorophyll when you use the DMSO. I actually am taking chlorophyll 3 times a day now. Works good. Only people with sensitive noses notice the smell but I have a couple of friends who fall into that category. Hope this helps.
