Re: penny / spine infection

I don't know, Amy. Mine seems to get progressively worse no matter what I do. At least I no longer have the low back disc herniation and my shoulders are better than they were. At one point one was entirely frozen, it's pretty good now. The other is okay, but I can't raise my arms above shoulder height for more than a few secs. Getting milk out of the fridge, or plates out of the cupboard is uncomfortable. But like I said, they're better than they were when I couldn't even sleep on my side because of the pain. :-( I feel that this thing has slowly spread from my neck, which I've had problems with since childhood, down to my upper back and shoulders. One elbow is also affected. And one knee. Thanks to Benicar the knee is almost never a problem and the elbow and shoulders are much better. But the neck/upper spine is the first thing to act up. I actually rely on Tramadol now and the Benicar to keep the pain under control.amy poet

p.s. Have you tried normal antiinflammatories like ibuprofen? I would take that, but my stomach won't allow it, so I have to take the Benicar as it's the only thing that works. Gauifenisen also helps. It's an analgesic but not sure it has anti-inflammatory properties. It does have other good properties though, like blood thinning and anti-microbial perhaps.
