That's very encouraging news, Jim. However, do be careful with Ketek. My doctor stopped prescribing it after some discouraging side effects were announced. At the I & I home page, there's also Flockhart's p450 pathway chart, which I think is probably more comprehensive in helping determine which drugs should not be used together. And yes, when we're taking this many drugs, it's import to use some detoxing agents, such as chlorella, etc., and get your bloodwork checked regularly for liver damage. I personally think that Stratton & Weldon have a pretty good overall, protocol, regardless of the specific microbes you're dealing with or the antimicrobial drugs you are on. penny drspeckster <drspeckster@...> wrote: Thanks Jim and Penny. I just want to warn anyone who thinks that a search with no interactions means it's ok to take the drugs. For instance, I checked metronidazole, azithromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, and cefuroxime against each other. No interactions were found. However, though I may be somewhat of a light risk taker, there is no way I would want to put my liver through all of these drugs at once, with the possible exception of the cefuroxime. I guess I need to dig deeper. My problem these days is time. I haven't read all the posts lately nor have I been

able to do much research, as my situation has changed and my computer time is very limited. I would like to share that I have now been on telithromycin (ketek) for about 6 months and it is working on the focci of my infected sinuses, jaw, eyes, ears. It feels as though all of these areas are continuously being squeezed. My sweating is nearly gone, and my malaise is nil. I had two weeks worth of ceftin and took it with the ketek and the squeezing feeling increased some. My dx is mycoplasma. Lyme negative on multiple tests. My take on ketek for myco is that it is the best option, but you must be very patient. I was on mino, doxy, clarith, and zith for several years prior to the ketek. Though I know I'm not out of the woods yet, I feel I will win if I just continue the meds. I feel the key is to not give up and keep taking the meds. I got dizzy quite a bit on the ketek several times, but kept taking it. Maybe not smart,

but the way I saw it was what other choice was there really. I miss reading all the posts here. I don't really know what kind of progress has been made by some of you, but hope improvement. I just want to say I think about the folks here on the board and have a special soft spot in my heart for all here. Keep up the faith.> Could someone please direct me to a site or tell me if I can take > these drugs together. I am assuming yes.> Thanks.
