hi a,

I think that you were the one that said DR henna is also your DR at duke. If so, does he always call you after you have your blood work done. I find it very hard to get to speak to him on the phone. do you have any suggestions for this.

We were SUPPOSED to see the sun today. It never appeared. I did hear of a

sun sighting in PA, but the Jersey Shore didn't see it.

I don¹t ever remember a spring like this. Our grass is loving it too, but

many of my plants stopped growing. They will probably get root rot. Sigh.

Soon my friend. We'll be basking soon.

Hugs,

That's what I thought too. I was approved the first time I applied

~ in 10 weeks!!! I get my first check for July in Aug.

I nearly had a heart attack when I saw I was approved.

I know you have lived all over. Don't take this the wrong way, but do

you like where you are at? It seems even harder than here where

at least there are laws governing the schools. They get broken, but

it's still easier than what you go through. I guess I'm curious if

Dear paula,

life here is indeed a lot harder than in the US, at least economically and

also beaurocratically speaking. However, terrorism is now getting

everywhere, and economy is going downt eh tubes world wide following this...

and there is one thing here that I have not seen or sensed anywhere else

DESPITE all the hardship I mentioned here and there: paradoxically, the

children here are very free, and live a very healthy life. they can go

outdoors anytime by themselves (can you imagine not having to plan play

we feel the hardship perhaps more because of the special needs of our

children, but overall we are happy here.

Thanks for sharing. I was afraid I'd offend you. I was curious. And I

appreciate the new perspective. I now remember you posting something

on this topic. I had forgotten. And I was zeroing on the negative. I

guess that truly is easy to do. I think everything has it's positives

and negatives. If you ever get the chance, post pictures. I'd love to

see some of your country. I have had little opportunity to travel. I

love the part of children being top priority. I just hope your schol

situation gets better.

Mel,

You can also read and reply from the website:

/messages

I find the digests hard to read as well as reply to but many members

prefer them. It's nice to have 3 different options.

You're welcome Marina. I hope you can get in to see someone asap.

Maybe someone will have a cancellation. Hopefully it isn't vasculitis.

I spoke with one of the general surgeons I work with and told him my

situation. He said he would take of me and get a biopsy and he was

willing to care for me. If it is vasculitis I'm guessing he may want

to perform a laporascope of my abdomen to make sure all my insides are

ok. Thank you again. I really hope that it isn't vasculitis, but I

think it is ridiculous that I have to wait until December to see a

dermatologist!! My skin could rot and fall off by then!! Thank God

this doctor is gonna help me out. He is a wonderful person and an

excellent surgeon. He has taken care of me before, so he is familiar

with my situation. I go see him on Tuesday for the biopsy. I go in

on Monday to OSU to talk with the oral surgeon and oral pathologist to

discuss the biopsy they did yesterday. I'll keep ya up to date on

what I find out. Thank you again. It kind of scared me to see what

all is involved, but it also helped to light the fire under my butt to

get in to see someone a lot faster!!.......Marina

So glad you have a doctor willing to help you. I'm praying it isn't

vasculitis or anything else serious.

Thank you, a. I will take all the prayers I can get at this

point. It seemed like I was getting a handle on the RA and then it

turns around and kicks me in the butt!! LOL Thanks again. I will

keep you guys posted. I go in on Monday to see the Oral Pathologist

to get the results of that biopsy and Tuesday I get the skin lesions

biopsied. I appreciate your support......Marina

Hi Joyce,

I can't say that my knees are painful when I flare, they just feel a

little swollen and are stiffer. If your are paining you so much

that you can't sleep, I'd think a call to the doctor may be wise. Is

it hot? Is it red? If so, I'd definitely see a doctor.

hi paual, I am largely unable to follow peoples stories, so do not know

yours totally, but the main way I describe my symptoms is it feels like

brain swelling and is a heada che from hell, constantly. I dont think mols

show up on any CAt /scans etc but not sure maybe they show up in

infections.

I have been diagnosed wiht many molds not from a building but from my root

canal.

I had prior mold testing that was the wrong kind of test and showed

nothiing. but blood antigen tests show many molds.

try dr marinkovich in redwood city CA for blood antigen test and mold nasal

spray.

his theory, take it or leave it is if you ahve molds then they must get

treated first or else the antibiotics will never work.

Hi Amy,

I got sick with rapid onset cfs in 1995. I stayed ill that entire

year but was diagnosed with mycoplasma and placed on antibiotics -

doxycycline, minocycline and then Zithromax. On Zithromax I began to

recover after about 3 months. I always relapsed if I went off the

Zithromax in about 3 months.

I stayed at this level for several years while adding in supplements

and ImmunoPro. Finally in 2003 I had tests run at IgeneX and found I

had borrelia or Lyme disease. In the next year we discovered that my

husband and one son also are infected. My son had a symptom onset of

severe headache and vertigo. He took antibiotics for a few months and

then went on garlic and Chinese herbs. He is stable and seemingly

healthy, but his CD 57 level is low - I suspect he will relapse at

some point. My husband is well and, like me, responds to Zithromax.

This is not surprising as we probably have shared whatever infections

we have.

I did quinolone antibiotics for the Lyme and developed severe tendon

issues that lasted 3 years. I am only now recovering taking magnesium

taurinate and Recuperation.

Six months ago I developed the vertigo at the same time as I had a

throat exam and a tooth worked on and got severe thrush in my throat.

I do not think the thrush was ever treated adequately, nor do I think

the possible co-infection was ever diagnosed. This is what Tony is

talking about.

Meanwhile the vertigo and feeling like my brain is a balloon has

continued for months. It isn't exactly a headache, although some days

it is. That swollen brain sensation is the ONLY common symptom that I

ever had before.

I'm just taking massive doses of garlic for now and waiting to see

what the neurologist thinks of my brain. Needless to say, my husband

is not happy with the garlic fumes.

Oh well, the price of health.
