Guest guest
Good afternoon- I have a patient who traveled out of the country for a kidney transplant. Started dialysis outside the US while waiting for her transplant for approx 4 weeks. Now is returning to the US and wants to receive her post op care here. Will Medicare cover as transplant was done outside US and not a Medicare approved facility? Is the patient Medicare eligible due to not receiving the services in the US? I have not had a situation like this before, would I fill out the 2728 with the patient? Confused.
