Guest guest
Hi. I am severely allergic and I have a number of inflammatory issues, but the major ones are hyperactivity in my sinuses and lungs. I used to suffer 8-9 times a year from sinusitis and/or bronchitis brought on by allergic exposure. Then I started Xolair and this has improved to about 3 times a year. Most of my asthma attacks are triggered by drainage from my sinuses. I have been suffering from the mother of all sinus infections for two weeks. This is one of the worst episodes I have ever had. A week's worth of antibiotics and prednisone did nothing for the inflammation. I am stll on both and still no drainage and tons of inflammation. I went to see a chiropractor and he couldn't see the top two cervical vertebrae in my neck (or whatever they are) for all the inflammation in my head and neck from the sinus infection. I am also on Rescon MX which has an anticholinergic and tons of sudafed. I do all the right things - nasal washes, inhalers, etc. I go for a CT scan Monday and may have to have my sinuses drained because the turbinates are so swollen they have probably closed up around pockets of infection. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
