Guest guest
Have you tried macrolide antibiotics which have besides antimocrobial activity also immunomodulatory properties? I have got great relief from it (Roxitromycin), but one must take it for several weeks or even months to get most out of it. Anyway it has started to help me already within 3-4 days. When I have taken it with Prednisone, it has had most effect. > > Hi. Guest guest
I would also encourage anyone with inflammation to take Zithromax. It works for a lot of us. Of course, I don't think it is working as an immune modulator. I think it is killing chronic infection inside the immune cells. This would look like it was reducing inflammatioh when, in fact, it was reducing the CAUSE of inflammation. You might want to do a google search for the Roadback Foundation and Dr. Gabe Mirkin, also, Dr. Franco and read all you can. It may be a revelation and a life saver. a Carnes > > Have you tried macrolide antibiotics which have besides > antimocrobial activity also immunomodulatory properties? Guest guest
I have used Zithromax and it's sister drug, Roxithromycin. The price of Zithromax in the USA is over 6 dollars a pill, but you can buy Roxithromycin for about 20 cents a pill, on the internet. They are very close and have the same effect, but Roxithromycin is hard to get in the USA. It would under cut sales of Zithromax here. Guest guest
Well.. not everyone. I had a bad biliary reaction to it. I beleive it's the way it's metabolized- which is not the same as erythromycin is metabolized (which is thru the liver). I really think the day needs to come where Dr.s run a P450 panel so they know ahead of time who'll be able to metabolize what - and who will be those 1% or less that can't metabolze certain popular drugs. Then we won't be arguing over what's a drug reaction and what's a herx. Untill that day - we'll be guessing. Barb > > > > > > Hi.
