Guest guest
The Tennessee Physical Therapy Association may include an educational program on reimbursement during the fall state meeting, 1999. Does anyone know of quality speakers that could discuss issues including documentation and communication with providers, as well as specifics related to Medicare, private payers, and workers compensation in a variety of settings? I would also be interested in hearing from other state associations that have offered continuing education on reimbursement issues. How successful was the program especially in terms of turnout from your members? Thank You. Beth Vowell Health Programs Walters State Community College 500 S. I have worked for Mutual of Omaha (Medicare Intermediary) for 2 years, Healthfocus/Rehability for 6 years as Reimbursement Analyst, Director of Audit and Development Analyst and with The Rehab Group as a Senior Operations Analyst. I am currently General Manager of a company which is catering to Physical Therapists in Private Practice. If you would like to see a resume and a list of references, please call me and let me know where to fax my background information. There are few (if any) people with skills like mine in the U.S. Jim Hall, CPA General Manager Rehab Management Services, LLC 222-3rd Street SE, Suite 306 Cedar Rapids, IA 52401 319/365-6384 jhall49629@... ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
I initially responded directly to the author of this request, but after thinking about it I decided that I should do a little promotion for someone who has earned it regionally: You would do well to contact Annette Herrick, MPA, PT at AHerr12345@... . She is an adjunct here at Naugatuck Valley Comm. College's PTA Program as well as for two local physical therapist education programs. More importantly, she has been instrumental in some very successful Conn. Physical Therapy Association initiatives. She has developed and presented at conferences bringing the insurance industry and physical therapists together and at regional conferences on quality improvement. I also hear wonderful things about her consulting from those who use her services. FYI- I am writing from the perspective of a college program director and the Treasurer of the CPTA. Please contact me for confirmation or additional information.
