Guest guest
APTA staff are currently reviewing the report and weighing options for response. They are keeping the APTA BOD poised for action, if required. While I have not seen it myself yet, I understand the report does recognize APTA's (via Vector study) projection of an upcoming oversupply. APTA is also in the midst of a survey of membership that will give us some hard data on the current employment/practice situation. We recognize the fact that changing market conditions have altered the Vector information. Also key is the fact that APTA owns the Vector methodology, so APTA will be periodically updating Vector. There will be a report on the survey results by the upcoming Nov 7 BOD mtg. Our intent will be to have an informed response, as appropriate, and not a reactionary one. Personally, I agree with Dr. Gordon's well thought repsonse and game plan. This is directed at those Board members subscribed to the list..... and another question to same.....should we " all " flood the US N & W editors with similar letters? This might be a story in of itself! Dale Avers At 09:51 PM 10/21/98 EDT, you wrote: >I fully agree with all of the postings regarding the " current state " of the >market.
