Yeah. You can give a horse orals though, can't you? I mean at worst you could lace their fodder and keep them from grazing? I don't know if doxy's safe for horses, but I spent $150 for 50 g of it, 125 days' worth at 400 mg /d. I think tetracycline is far cheaper, but it doesn't have the sustained blood levels unless you administer it 4x a day; at least that's so for humans.
