Guest guest
Sally, I may talk to someone at Really Raw Honey before I get a reply from you, but--what is " fermented " honey? Is that granulated? Bonnie in NC On Tue, 13 Nov 2001 20:23:56 EST safallon@... writes: > Dear All, > > I spoke to Mimi at Really Raw Honey today. Guest guest
Bonnie, I just ordered a case of this stuff, and they told me that the honey was fermented b/c the moisture got too high where it was being stored. She said that it just has a stronger taste, and is perfectly good. They only charged me $20 shipping for the case, which included 6 5lb bottles. I'm so excited--there are lots of recipes I wanted to try but couldn't because the honey was so expensive (and the recipes called for large amounts). Thanks for the notice, Sally! > Sally, > I may talk to someone at Really Raw Honey before I get a reply from you, > but--what is " fermented " honey? Guest guest
Fermentation happens in honey when it has a high water content and it is left in a warm place too long. It is said that the honey is " cured. " Fermented honey is said to have health benefits, particularly for the digestion. Sally
