Hey Tony, here's a good herb! Ha, ha, just kidding, so you don't have

to write an essay about herbs and infections. I am not really very

into herbs, except in my food and my garden.

However, I feel it's my duty to report that I started taking

andrographis as a support to my abx routine and suddenly I had the

sore ear cartilage that I get every time I start a new abx. Barb has

said that spirochetes like to live in ears. Tony doesn't believe in

spirochetes or Lyme, however, I feel that there is something

happening here! I've been taking resveratrol lately too, which may

increase blood flow and decrease inflammation. (Yes, I've been

reading Buhner.)

Just giving you a hard time Tony! All in fun.

Kate

I was only teasing you. I don't give a rats about too much, I'm just

fascinated with people's experiences and results so I read carefully.I

just place a major ilness in it's rightfull place- I see us needing

chaemotherapy, 'basically thrashed to within an inch of your life', as

opposed to wee willy wonker herbs and weeds stuff to get well. Now I am

absolutely focused on achieving great looking skin from eating fruits

and vegetables as opposed to taking supplements to try and achieve this.

cheers

Kate, if you knew tony, you'd realize he was kidding with you. And believe it or not, because he probably won't admit this publicly, he actually does beleive that some "herbs and weeds" as he calls them, can help a lot. Like milk thistle for example. Or one of those, I can't remember. Kate <KateDunlay@...> wrote: Tony, control yourself. By the way, despite Tony's sometimes very vocal protestations, all treatment possibilities are fine for discussion on this list, as long as someone's not profiting from it. That includes herbs, or martian rocks, as far as I'm concerned. Seriously, we're open here. But we also like to see things backed up with SOMETHING convincing, because I think most of us are tired of jumping on and off the "next big cure" merry go round. penny Kate <KateDunlay@...> wrote: Tony, control yourself. I sometimes read what I wrote the previous day and I duck for cover. But

on a serious note when you haven't explored the basic obvious

principles of infection and start throwing theories into the air, it's

no way to get real answers.Imagine going into your doctors and the

guide to treatment book clearly explains an infectious ear

condition.... you basically want to know if your ear contains

pseudonomas like is frequently believed the cause, instead of

speculating. The treatment is variable if it's a pseudomonal infection,

your also likely to flare up your pseudomonal infection with zithromax.

So Kate would be on and off target doing a single therapy... it may cut

down some bugs, while annoying others IMO.

Has anyone found that andrographis made your blood pressure TOO low?

my normal BP is 90 over 60. i haven't started andro yet but the book

mentions

that it lowers BP. i think a few of the other herbs also have this

affect. could this

be potentially dangerous? G - if you haven't already sent your

questions in to

Buhner, perhaps this could be on your list. Thanks!

Hi, Steve-

I had to quit the andrographis because of nausea and diarrhea. I was taking the

core

protocol: 3 of each herb 3 x daily, plus one Zithromax daily. I'm not sure

whether the zith

had anything to do with my reaction, but I have quit the protocol and now take

zith and

teasel. The andrographis was most certainly the cause of the diarrhea. I tried

reducing the

dose to one tablet at a time, with no luck.

I feel better now, in most respects. I have fears of relapse, but maybe they

are just fears.

Good luck--

Dear vicki

thanks for the quick and informative response. I'm off of abx for about a month

after a 5 month course of doxy, amox, rocephin for 2 months and a bit of zith. I

honestly felt better than when I started but my symptoms are still there but in

a lessened form. for the last 2 or three days, I believe my aches and fatigue

are growing and I guess I'm going into a downward mode. I was hoping that the

teasel was more credible but it appears from your email that's its another

deadend. was hoping that this herb was a better bullet. I will probably begin a

course of bicillin shortly, maybe with an addition of amox. just getting psyched

for the next go-round

best

Hi, Mike--

I bought my teasel from www.myherbs.net. 100 capsules cost 11.00

plus shipping. Each capsule is 800 mg of teasel root. I take the

suggested one cap 3 times a day. I also take zithromax and a number

of vitamins, magnesium, yeast-fighting herbs, etc. I honestly can't

tell you if the teasel is working. When I was taking the protocol

herbs (with zithromax) I felt kind of permanently herxy---achy and

fatigued. Off the protocol, my energy is better, but the aches seem

to be localizing in my back and knees. I still get headaches, either

way, and my floaters and numbness in my face are increasing. I'm not

sure what is going on, really. I just decided that zith plus

protocol was too much for me---I was hoping to tough it through for a

year, but it was too hard. So I don't know if I'm really better, or

if my body is relieved to have less to deal with--and I may be

setting myself up for a future relapse. In the past, I'd feel good

when I went off of abx, only to relapse. Who knows what is best? At

any rate, the teasel doesn't seem to do any harm.

Good luck--

Vicki

Hi all--I'm just bringing this up and seeing if I can post--I've been having a

difficult time.

Can someone write back so that I know it's gone through?

Thanks guys!
