I truly believe variety is the spice of Tae Bo and find my favorite work-out

to be the one I do that day. I do BL1, 2 & 3 alternated with the Studio

Advanced, AL1 and AL2. I sort of ignore the Studio Basic & throw it in when I

feel pumped after a BL work-out and want more. The 8 minute one is when I

feel very sluggish to pump me up when I do not want to take a shower.

Barb

who wonders what my sequence will be when I get AL3 delivered

Ok, I got up and pushed play! I did my BL1 again today. That is sure a workout. And I saw TQ!!

How is BL2? Do you guys like it as much as BL1?

Also, a question about dietwatch...I tried it but I couldn't figure out how to get it to calculate what my daily needs should be. Any suggestions?

Thanks, now I just have to clarify this...and I know you are all going to

enjoy laughing at me because you all were talking about this before...

I put my goal weight in. And I am setting my exercise goal fro 4x/week.

The recommended calorie intake was 1904 cal/day. That IS to LOSE weight,

right?? Not to maintain??

I think I like that dietwatch site!! 1900 calories to lose weight?? Yippee!

Isn't Tae Bo 4x/week considered " active " ? How do you find the definitions.

Even if I choose " lightly active " the rec. calories is 1786.

I think you are right about it being personal opinion, although I emailed

diet watch to get their opinion. I'd be interested in how everyone else

also defines these...

Here is how I defined the various categories:

very sedentary: someone who lives alone, has no kids and doesn't need to

work, who basically sits all day.

sedentary: Someone who has a desk job and then comes home and watches tv

most of the evening. Add in getting groceries and carrying them into the

house, and light housework.

Lightly active: someone who regulary gardens, carries groceries, vaccuums,

dusts, moves furniture, walks leisurely...and has SEX!!

Active: Someone who does the above, and also exercises at least 3-5x/week

for at least 30 minutes with a planned exercise program.

Very Active: (Minimum) Someone who does all of the " light activity "

activities, and also exercises at least 6x/week using moderate plus weight

training, or 3-5x/week using strenuous activity and weight training. I

consider Basic Tae Bo to be moderate, because you use large muscle groups,

And Advanced Tae Bo to be strenuous because the speed/intensity are

increased significantly from Basic. It also emphasizes interval training

(heavy bursts of activity althernated with rest periods).

Thanks,

Sorry..but I totally disgaree. I think your idea of light activity is

way off the mark. Doing Tae Bo advanced 6 times a week would be

considered highly active I believe. Of course this is my opinion...:)
