Guest guest
-Barb, Thanks so much for your reply. It is so good to hear from another horse lover. The earliest memories I have are loving horses and they told me if you kiss at a red bird and make a wish it would come true. I would follow that red bird kissing until out of site wanting a pony. The love for them has been so deep but I have also felt so bad that I could not feel anthing and this was not depression. I did not show any coinfections. I was positive on the western blot with 10 band both IGG and IGM but only cdc positive with the IGG. I did do a roatation of two combined antibiotics I can't remember the names but quinine with clindamycin I think and it was for 10 days then placqunil with biaxin xl. Both were 10days then back to the first combination then back to the second combo. That was a total of 40days. The first couple of days on the biaxin was a very strange experience. It made me feel like I was seeing stars but it almost stimulated me. I stopped it after about three days. During that time I had to make a trip to town. I needed to go to a feed store that I had been to often. I drove around town three times and could not think how to get there. This was not a bad spacey feeling like it sounds. Normaly when I am spacey I am sleepy with it. I had good energy that day. I would see things I reconized but could not think how to get where I need to be. I was only a block from the feed store when I could not find it. Anyway after staying off the biaxin for a couple of weeks I went back to try and didn't feel like that. It was the best I felt. I was not sure if that was a side effect. Later I tried that combination again and didn't feel as good. Then I went to ramfin and after the third week felt less pain. Not sure if that was why. I am currently taking it for 30 days again. So none of that makes any sense but if anyone else travels along and reads my experience and something sounds familiar then they are not alone. I learn more from other people feeling bad than any medical info source. If I can ever help someone else with what I might have learned I would like to reach out. Sorry for being so long. Guest guest
Oh Sandy I know just what you're talking about - I more than once was driving along my own road, and didn't know where I was... or I'd forget the way to somewhere familiar. I'd lost the ability to see bright red gradually over a long period, and didn't even realize it. My bisual field was a mess, my Opthalmolgist said I'd be going blind soon becuase I had inflamation and opticneuritis pretty bad. I had headaches of varying insensity for 27 days out of every month. I was taking over 400 grams of ibuprophen a year for pain. I thought my mind was shot, and that my next dx would be Alzhiemers. I was already carrying a few autoimmune disorder dx's and had an operating tolerance so narrow, I hardly ate anything. I had been surviving by alternative therapies- and kept refusing the (immunosupressant) drugs. I figure if I can get better - others can too. Hang in there- see your LLMD again- I think it's Lyme lingering.
