Guest guest
Hi all, I'm at the Chiari Institute at this time. I thought I would touch base with all of you and let you know what it is like here. They have a waiting room with several sections, a room with beverages and snacks, a TV, a couple couches if you need to lay down and 2 computers to go online. I met with the nurse already and she was very thorough, going through my entire history of symptoms since I was a teenager (I'm 53)and the family history of any similar symptoms. I was very impressed. When you come for the appts you see a nurse first then a Neurologist, then the Neurosurgeon, Dr. Bolognese. I had MRI's, 3D-CT scan and CTA yesterday and hand carried my films here. Some people have the MRI's and 3D-CT scan done here but if you need a CTA to check the vertebral arteries then they do them down the street at the Manhasset Diagnostic Institute. They gave me a CD of the tests to keep because I told them I found my problem myself by looking at my MRI's and CT scan on my home computer. You can get a CD of any MRI's and CT scans you have done, just ask, because you have a legal right to your medical records. So now I wait to see the Neurologist and Dr. B to find out what I came here for....how to fix the problem! I'll report back to the group tomorrow night when I get back home or Thurs morning the latest. Take care and God Bless all of you, May
