In the coming few months, the Section on Administration of APTA will be

convening a select group of managers and leaders to discuss the key issues

concerning student preparation related to administration, management,

leadership, health policy and organizational survival. Basically, the same

things that this list is dedicated to.

As President - Elect of the Section, I will be chairing the sessions. What

I am interested in receiving from as many members of PTManager, is your

thoughts on what and how student physical therapists and physical therapist

assistants should learn, be exposed to, value, and be able to do concerning

these issues.

If anyone is actively involved in a faculty, teaching courses in

administration, or working with students and/or new grads on these issues,

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you employ new grads or work with students during affiliation, please

share your perspective.

We have decided to undertake this project in a very open and public manner

so your thoughts and comments will be taken back to the task force to form

a starting point for the group.

Thank you in advance for your input and energy. This project has the

potential to make a huge difference. Let's do it well.
