Guest guest
One snack that I really recommend is baby carrots dunked in a mixture of lowfat (nonfat is yucky) sour cream and fat-free salsa. I find that very satisfying.

Guest guest
Hi everyone, We just had Allie's first MRI today and her ortho just called and there is something there. He said the radiologist has never seen it before but there is a abnormality in the spinal cord where her curve is. He said it did not look like a tumor or cist but it looked like a thickening tissue. Has any one else had this. Or any theroies on what this could be. HELP!!!! Thanks Amy
Guest guest
Hi Amy, Please request the diagnostic reports from the surgeon/radiologist. Did the surgeon concur with the radiologists findings and what is his diagnosis and plan? Try not to start worrying until you have all the info. Easier said than done, I know. Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for the email. Her ortho has read the MRI. He called me back last night after he was able to read it himself. He is getting us into the Ped. Neurologist next week. He said that he is very surprised Allie has no symptoms from what ever this is( besides her little crooked spine). I hope that is a good sign. We also have a second opinion already scheduled at University of Va. June 3. All the waiting is driving me crazy. I guess that is something we all deal with, it just stinks. I want answers on my time not the Dr's time. Is that to much to ask for!!! Which doc is reading this MRI? I would take it to the most reputable hospital you can find and have them re-read it....... If you don't find answers the first time, seek second, third and fourth opinions until you get what you need. Hang in....
