Guest guest
--What test would show the malformed red blood cells? I use to be a dental assisitant and I was exposed to lots of mercury. It just never showed up. I don't have but three amalgams. Some of the labs that I have done testing with were much better than the ususal labs. I had several tests done with spectra cell and they were abnormal. When I had b12 tested it was ok with lab cor but when it went to spectra cell it was half of normal. Also the immune tests my CD 3 was low at Lab core but when it went to AAL labs it was much more detailed. Some of those were well worth it. It was during all the years I spent going to ND drs and having electro dermal testing and then using homeopathy that I used a lot of money and stayed sick. I still feel bad and after so many years my body is getting worse and not just my head. I had a CAT scan years ago when I went to a sleep DR. I have seen at least 6 sleep neurologists. The idea about inflammation just seemed to be something that might be part of this head feeling. I have done searches and things show up but most of the articles are over my brain. The Metramedix test is suppose to show a lot of things. I have heard that Dr Sherry recommends it. I went to her several years ago. Her books were good but I didn't get much out of my 5 day appt. sandy - In infections , " dumbaussie2000 " <dumbaussie2000@...> wrote: > > Sandy > IMO it is pretty pointless doing most tests when the fundamentals of > dehydration-low blood volume- toxicity effected red blood cells and a > number of other factors... basically don't favour getting most types > of tests. > What I'm basically saying is that if you took someone suffering some > of the age related diseases and dehydrated them... you wouldn't get a > true picture of what is really going on in this person.like putting > the cart before the horse.I would tend to focus my efforts on the big > issues before spending a razoo on all the crap diagnostics on offer. > I would tend to waste my ebnergy and money on stuff you can get both > hands around- an egs. may be a great scan of the head/ sinus to see > the damage infections cause..Or just asking your doctor for a smarter > lab report on simple things like percentages of malformed red > cells..Just accumulate all the little things to get yourself a > picture of why you suffer ill health don't go for the fashionable > stuff that most people throw around-egs. amalgams causing mercury > toxicity and all the waffle that goes with that.. > > > > > > > > > I have lyme and didn't know until about two years ago. > > > > I was dx with CFIDS for almost 20 years. Guest guest
I don't know this test, but you're 100% right in saying that some labs are better than others. Much better. Teaching hospital labs are often very good. I also liked Spectracell for their detailed reports on my nutritional status. I've done a lot of those kinds of tests, but theirs was by far the most specific and accurate, and I didn't look as nearly depleted as I had been led to believe by some of the ND types. Believe me, I feel your pain over the fortunes we've spent on this illness. I need to have a very strong leaning now, before jumping into anything. So many pie-in-the-sky promises. penny irishdrought1955 <irishdrought1955@...> wrote: --What test would show the malformed red blood cells?I use to be a dental assisitant and I was exposed to lots of mercury. It just never showed up.
