I applied for this and got a phone call almost by return from Professor

Puri (sounding quite subdued) and explaining that the studies person

must be able to sit with their head in the scanner for an hour. He

cannot prescribe a sedative (says the hospital ethics committee). I may

be able to get my GP to prescribe one but otherwise Edith cannot take

part. He sounded quite sad about it.
