I'd personally like to welcome all of you who have subscribed to PTmanager.

I am very excited about this project - I think that we can make a

difference in our profession and our future with this project.

PT Manager is dedicated to topics related to the management, leadership,

reimbursement, legislation and health policy as it relates to

rehabilitation services. Other lists such as PTHER and PHYSIO are

dedicated to clinical topics.

I encourage all members of this list to use it to share information, get

feedback on ideas and exchange ideas on these topics. Any of you can

initiate a discussion thread by posting a new subject via email to

ptmanager@.... Please don't be shy if you have good topics.

There are a couple key points to remember when posting to this list:

1. Please discuss the content of posting being sure to maintain respect

for the poster. There will be members with different levels of expertise

and comfort using this medium. Those who are more experienced - please

help the less experienced members get comfortable.

2. Profanity and vulgarity are always inappropriate in a public forum.

Remember that many people (you can never tell who) may be reading what you

wrote.

3. Please identify yourself so that we can discuss among peers instead of

anonymous screen names and Login names.

4. Commercial postings should be cleared with the list owner first.

Announcement of continuing education courses, books and educational

materials are acceptable. Blatant advertising will result in the poster

being restricted from the list. When in doubt contact the list owner via

private email (not through the list).

5. Remember that all postings are archived at the web address below. You

may search this archive any time in the future.

Finally, I'd like to thank you for your input and suggestions on how to

make PTManager an excellent resource for all of us.

BTW, within the first week of PTManager's existence we surpassed 100

members. Congratulations to all of you - and welcome to the PTManager

Electronic Community. You are the Charter members. What happens from here

on out is up to you.
