Hi ,

First of all, thank you for taking an important step in our evolution

(revolution??)

Proposed legislative activities and proposals are ideal, aptly demonstrated by

the outpatient $1500 cap, where quick response is needed.

Answers to management questions such as: What are organizations doing in

regards to productivity standards of therapists?

Accreditation questions (CARF, JCAHO, NCQA)

Perhaps the most valuable will be for information sharing, and routing to the

right persons or organizations to help our colleagues with their questions.

I would enjoy the ability to post continuing education, and test the response.

Kia ora ,

Being based in the public health system in New Zealand I am pleased to

have the opportunity to review some of the physiotherapy management

issues arising in the United States. Our health system is in constant review

(as is everyone's!) and structures and processes which have been

introduced in the USA are often cited in New Zealand e.g Managed Care.

My thoughts so far as to what I would like to see on this list are as follows:

- The impact of organisational structures on physiotherapy service delivery

- Discussion on issues related to contracting / purchasing / funding

physiotherapy services

- Quality and Risk management issues in Physiotherapy

- Leadership tips (!)

- Evaluation of management decisions related to physiotherapy and their

impact on clinical efficacy / efficiency

However, all information is interesting and I look forwards to some

stimulating discussion.

Right now I am mostly interested in staying up to date on PPS for long

term care and SNF settings. I am also interested in the

transfer/discharge rules and how these will affect IP stays as well as

SNF/long term care referral patterns.
