Does anyone have info on hyper plastic cells? The only thing I have

found out is that they are not cancer, but exist next to cancer

tumors. I Suspect virus or bacteria activity that turns normal

cells into " a changed cell, not normal " . thanks Jimd

There was a very interesting article on cancer stem cells in July's Scientific American. It discusses the various ways in which signaling either allows or prevents cell reproduction, and what this means in cancer. I can't remember a reference to hyper plastic cells though. Basically, the article is pointing out that not all cancer cells can reproduce, and that if we could target the stem cells, treatment would be more effective.- KateOn Jul 22, 2006, at 2:33 PM, jimd85379 wrote:Does anyone have info on hyper plastic cells?
